In 2001, I established Blue Agates with the goal of informing the public about the rarity and beauty of Ellensburg Blue Agate and to share pictures of my lifetime hunting efforts. (see a pic of the original site below) I also wanted to caution buyers about the prevalence of fake Ellensburg Blue being sold online, as MOST of what's sold is NOT Ellensburg Blue Agate. (updated January 2025)

As the saying goes, Caveat Emptor - Buyer Beware!

NOTE: As of February 1, 2025, I have never seen so much non-Ellensburg Blue Agate listed on eBay. 

Be cautious when you see the term "old stock," as it is often used in listings for agates that are not Ellensburg Blue.
